Watch out! Make sure you understand the updated Level 2/3 move violation exceptions

We updated our rules for 2019 to include some exceptions to the 3 points of contact for Levels 2 and 3. If you need a refresher on the rules, you can check out the rules announcement post.

This video is a demonstration of a flag press down, which would be a violation under these new rules. The reverse of this video, a flag press up, would also be a violation. Why? Because we’ve banned the use of forearm handsprings or forearm ayeshas. They were banned for Levels 2 and 3 because we felt like they were outside of the expected skill set for these levels. A flag press down or up is essentially a forearm ayesha.
